Icarians & Standing Acro
with Mads & Gavin
Madeleine (Mads) returns to MAC for her second year—and with Maltese roots, this is something of a homecoming! A former competitive artistic gymnast turned acroyoga teacher, Mads brings a love for airtime, flipping, and Icarians. Gavin is a natural mover and experienced coach in love with Standing Acro, Dance Lifts, and Icarians. Together they create a space where you can explore your potential and experience the joy of real collaboration.

Whips, Whip-Pops & Icarians
with Pri & Anna
Pri is one of the first Acro Love certified teachers in Europe, co-founder of the DAP (Dynamic Acro Program) and creator of moves including Rising Whips, Tarzan 360, and Fish Whip-Pops. Anna brings a gymnastics background and a laser focus on dynamic acrobatics—whips, pops, and especially Icarians. Together they are committed to progressive, inclusive teaching that meets every body where it is.

Prerequisites
This intensive is designed for intermediate/advanced practitioners. Please ensure that all of these prerequisites are out of spot before registering.
Required Skills
Solid Tarzan
Consistent, controlled execution with proper form and close-to-parallel height
Throne to Throne Icarian
Clean Icarian with releasing the hands, good height and control in the landing
Bird to Bird Icarian
Smooth Icarian demonstrating aerial awareness, timing and control in the landing
Solid Side-Star
Clean side-star with good form and control
Washing Machine Experience
Comfortable with at least one washing machine variation

What if I don't meet all the prerequisites?
Please reach out to us at mediterraneanacroconvention@gmail.com to discuss your skill level. We want to ensure everyone can benefit from and contribute to the intensive's advanced focus.
Can I attend without going to the main festival?
Absolutely! The Pre-Festival Intensive is a standalone event. However, we offer a €50 discount if you're also attending MAC 2026 (Oct 7-11).
Is accommodation included?
Yes! Accommodation and food are included in the Pre-Fest price at the Riviera Hotel & Spa. If you're attending both Pre-Fest and MAC 2026, you can bridge your stay from Oct 3-11 (subject to availability).
What's the training schedule like?
We'll have three training sessions per day on Saturday (Oct 3) and Sunday (Oct 4), and one session on Monday (Oct 5). You'll have flexibility to choose between Icarians and Whips tracks throughout. Detailed schedule will be shared closer to the event.
How do I claim the €50 MAC attendee discount?
Simply mention your MAC 2026 registration when signing up for the Pre-Fest, and we'll apply the discount. You can register for both simultaneously or add the Pre-Fest later.
